Appointments

From Monday 22nd July we will be trialling a new appointment system where we will be aiming to offer both on the day and pre-booked appointments both face to face and over the phone. Please bear with us as we trial a new approach.

As appointments are time limited we may need to ask you to arrange a further appointment if there are multiple issues you wish to address.

In order to prioritise our work load a clinician will often triage by telephone initially and allocate an appointment if required.

Unfortunately our practice has not been allocated a multidisciplinary team as yet. So please be patient we are a small team dealing with large patient numbers and demand.

Frequently Asked Questions

DO I HAVE TO RING FIRST THING IN THE MORNING TO GET AN APPOINTMENT?

Please call before 10am if you feel your query is urgent and you may need to be seen. This will allow adequate time for a call-back. We will only take urgent calls after 10am or when capacity is reached.

WHAT IF I HAVE PROBLEMS GETTING TO THE PHONE?

Please let us know if you have difficulty using the phone and we will try and make special arrangements.

ASK THE RECEPTIONIST

Our receptionists are trained to deal with some queries like repeat prescriptions, repeat sick lines, letters or delays in hospital appointments

WILL I BE SEEN IN PERSON IF THIS IS NEEDED?

Yes. The system means that by dealing with straightforward things over the phone we have enough surgery appointments to ensure that you can see someone in person if needed.
