General Information

GP surgeries have no control over the initiation of medication organisers dispensed from community pharmacies. Please contact your local pharmacy to discuss if you feel you or someone you care for requires help with organising their medications.

We are following strict guidelines around the perscribing of all medication from the department of health. For more information see some useful links below

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered by calling our receptionists between 10.00am & 12.00pm ONLY.

We can also organise registration for ordering prescriptions online. Please speak to a member of staff to arrange this and to nominate a preferred chemist for collection.

The Health Service is under significant strain. In NI the expenditure on GP prescribed products is in the region of £456 million annually, relating to nearly 43 million items. This cost is rising annually.

Our practice has been identified as prescribing above our provided budget and need to address this. Please only order the medications that you use and take regularly. Advise the practice if you are accumulating excess medications which will go to waste.
